Lawrence A. Cohen, CSSC, JD
Larry Cohen, who has over 35 years of claims and legal experience, heads New England operations from the Boston office. He served as a member of the Ringler Board of Directors for 10 years.
His 14-year insurance claims career, all with CIGNA, began in 1969. He held positions as Multi-Line Claims Representative, Supervisor, and Manager in the Philadelphia Regional office, Manager of the Hartford Regional office, National Director of Claims Litigation, and Vice President, Northeast Area Claims. He joined Ringler in 1983.
Larry is a frequent speaker to industry groups and has testified as an annuitist to explain the concept of how annuities can best match a stream of future payments.
A Connecticut native, Larry received his BA degree in economics from the University of Connecticut in 1969, and his JD, magna cum laude, from Delaware Law School in 1975.
He is a member of the Pennsylvania and Connecticut Bar Associations, the National Association of Life Underwriters, and the National Structured Settlements Trade Association. He earned the Certified Structured Settlement Consultant (CSSC) designation at the University of Notre Dame in 1992.
Larry also serves as the host of RINGLER RADIO; a series of ongoing innovative Internet radio shows, covering topics of interest to the claims, legal, and structured settlement communities.
