Don, an Associate in the Chicago office, has almost 20 years of experience in insurance, financial planning and structured settlements.
His background in needs analysis and financial planning has proved to be invaluable in designing and implementing structured settlement plans for injured parties.
Don's responsibilities include designing settlement plans and presenting them at mediations, arbitrations and other settlement forums to assist in case resolution. In creating the settlement proposals, Don reviews economist reports and medical information and submits them to the life companies for substandard age ratings. He assists trial and defense attorneys with the Internal Revenue Code guidelines and life insurance ratings. He also markets and promotes the structure concept and conducts seminars on the use of settlement annuities in personal injury cases.
Prior to this affiliation, Don was with Connecticut Mutual / Glenview Insurance Agency. During the six years he spent at Connecticut Mutual, Don gained extensive experience in life insurance and financial planning, which has been very helpful in designing settlement annuity packages for injured parties.
Other experience includes 11years in the structured settlement field working with two prominent settlement annuity firms.
Don earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University in 1985. In 1995 he received the Chartered Life Underwriter designation. The designation of Associate in Claims designation was bestowed on him in 1999. He received the Certified Structured Settlement Consultant designation in 1999 from Notre Dame University.
He is a member of the National Structured Settlements Trade Association.
