Heather Anderson, CSSC
Heather is a Structured Settlement Consultant based in the Mobile office. She has over 12 years of experience in the structured settlement field, with a strong background in liability cases, including transportation, energy and premises liability claims, as well as multi-state workers’ compensation experience. She is also well-versed Medicare Set Aside issues and implementation.
Providing structure expertise during all phases of the settlement process, Heather’s services include designing and negotiating structured settlement packages unique to each claimant, reviewing and pricing life care plans, calculating future loss of earnings, and providing present-day figures for settlement.
She attends mediations and settlement conferences with clients, and works with all parties after settlement to ensure the proper documentation is in place. Her prior work experience with the US Senate focused on the Social Security Administration, Medicare and Medicaid, and that background has proved to be invaluable as she is able to integrate that experience and knowledge into current issues regarding Medicare Set Asides, Medicaid, and the vehicles helpful in navigating those unique factors. such as, Special Needs Trusts).
Heather regularly conducts continuing education seminars and presentations on the benefits of structured settlements in resolving claims to property/casualty insurers, self-insured organizations, and law firms, and is available for on-site file reviews to explore structured settlement potential.
Heather is a member of the National Structured Settlements Trade Association (NSSTA). She earned the professional designation as a Certified Structured Settlement Consultant (CSSC) by the University of Notre Dame in 2005, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Dallas.
