Dave is the founder of Ringler Associates, the nation’s largest structured settlements company, which he started in 1975. He served as Chairman and CEO until 1995.

From 1995 until he returned to Ringler Associates on the company’s 30th anniversary in April 2005, he engaged in insurance private practice. In 2001, he set up his own structured settlement firm operating in the Carolinas and Tennessee specializing in complicated and extraordinary cases. In 2006, he rejoined Ringler Associates covering these jurisdictions.

Dave was an original founder of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA) in 1985, and subsequently served as the first president.

His insurance experience began in 1964 with Unigard Insurance in Seattle. He also held a number of claims management positions with two other insurance organizations, including Vice-President Casualty Claims with the Excess and Surplus arm of American Reserve.
