Brian Farrell was named Ringler’s Chairman after distinguished service on the Board and a career that began at Ringler in 2009. Brian owns and manages the Connecticut office of Ringler in Hartford, specializing in cases that involve general liability, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice and professional liability as a well-known structured settlement consultant. Brian has extensive experience in the property casualty claim industry in a number of claims handling and management positions, in both a home office and multiple field office settings, previously working at Travelers Insurance Company and Aetna Life and Casualty. He is a member of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA). He graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1990. Brian and his wife Debbie have two children and live in Connecticut. Brian is an avid golfer and is also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
Geoff Hunt serves as the President and CEO of Ringler. His experience in finance, management and the insurance industry spans over 30 years. Geoff began his consulting career at Deloitte, becoming a Senior Manager at the firm. He joined Liberty Mutual in Boston in 1991, rising to Executive Vice President for Regional Agency Markets and was responsible for $2.5 billion in premiums. Prior to that, Geoff held positions of Executive VP and Manager of Field Operations for Business Markets, VP and Director of Corporate Finance and M&A at Liberty. In 2005, he co-founded Narragansett Bay Insurance Company in Rhode Island and also served on the Board of Directors. Before being named President of Ringler in 2015, he served as Vice President of Mergers, Acquisitions and Business Development at Risk Placement Services, a division of the international brokerage firm Arthur J. Gallagher. Geoff is a Certified Public Accountant and received his Juris Doctor degree (JD) from Western New England School of Law and a Master of Laws degree (LLM) in Taxation from Boston University Law School. He also serves on various industry, community and philanthropic boards. When he’s not working, Geoff and his wife Brenda enjoy their home in Scituate, Massachusetts, spending time with their two adult children.
Melissa Price (formerly Evola) serves Ringler as Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer.
Melissa has a longstanding reputation as a leader in the profession. She joined Structured Financial Associates (SFA) in 1999 as a Structured Settlement Consultant/Corporate Marketing Consultant, expanding her role to National Account management, marketing/communications, IT infrastructure and corporate business development planning. Melissa became President of SFA in 2011. Prior to that, she worked for a decade in the Electronic Commerce (EC) industry, where she specialized in strategic planning, product management and sales management focusing on emerging product markets. She has Life, Health and Accident Insurance licenses in multiple states and is a member of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA). She also holds the Certified Structured Settlement Consultant (CSSC) certification. Melissa lives in Detroit with her husband Chris and his son Harry.
Joe Loseman is Senior Vice President and CFO and is responsible for managing the financial assets at Ringler. He also oversees all home office operations, including finance and accounting, human resources, licensing and information technology. Joe joined Ringler in 2000, and since then, has held management positions in IT, accounting, systems analysis and business analysis. He was named Director of Operations in 2011 and Vice President of Operations in 2012. His experience began as a Financial Advisor and Marketing Specialist with Cal Fed Investments, where he developed and recommended financial planning and investment solutions to Cal Fed’s banking and investment clients. He is a member of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA), and he holds a Life & Disability Insurance License. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Finance from California State University Fullerton, College of Business and Economics in 1997. When he’s not working, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife Shelley and three sons at their home in Southern California.
As Managing Director of Strategic Planning, Phillip Krause manages Ringler’s key strategic partner relationships and assists with strategic business plans. He also supports national marketing efforts and is an important corporate resource to all Ringler Consultants. As a Settlement Planning Specialist, Phil worked on a variety of cases, including the NFL Concussion Settlement, Aviation Losses, Medical Malpractice, Product Liability, Employment and Contract Disputes, Class Action and Mass Torts. Prior to joining Ringler, Phil served as a Portfolio Analyst at Morgan Stanley and as a Financial Planner at American Express Financial Advisors, Ameriprise Financial and Raymond James Financial Services. A Subject Matter Expert in the Financial Services Industry, Phil serves as a Council Member to the Gerson Lehrman Group and was a FINRA Arbitrator and Contract Negotiator for the City of Miami FOP Lodge 20. A graduate of Rhodes College, Phil attended the University of Miami where he received an Executive CFP® Certificate. He also graduated from the Executive Financial Management Program at Cornell University and the Executive Program on Negotiation and Leadership at Harvard Law School. He received his CLMP from Columbia Law School’s Litigation Management Institute and his CSSC from the National Structured Settlement Trade Association.
Jim Early is a senior advisor to Ringler, assisting in strategic business partnerships, collaborating with Ringler’s 150 plus Consultants nationwide and presides as the 2017 President of NSSTA (National Structured Settlement Trade Association). He formerly served as Executive Vice President and National Sales Director in charge of sales operations, focusing on services to Ringler’s clients and partners. Jim joined Ringler in January 2002, became Senior Vice President in 2010 and also served as the Eastern Regional Director, managing associates in 23 states as well as Washington, D.C. and Northern New England. He has been a member of the Ringler Board of Directors and a member of the Board at NSSTA. He has more than 40 years of insurance and settlement planning experience, participating as a structured settlement consultant in thousands of cases since 1985. Jim’s career began at the Insurance Company of North America in Milwaukee and the Providence-Washington Insurance Company. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and he served as an officer in the United States Army Reserve from 1977 to 1988. He is designated a Certified Litigation Management Professional after completing the Course of Study through the Claim and Litigation Management Alliance at Columbia School of Law. Jim is a regular co-host on Ringler Radio. He and his wife Jane enjoy spending time at their home in New Hampshire and with their five grandchildren.
Andrea L. Haupert, Director of Marketing and Communications, joined the Ringler management team in 2016 with 10 years experience developing sales and communications campaigns. Initiatives championed by Ms. Haupert have resulted in 15 national awards and over 100 local awards. She is passionate when it comes to developing large-scale communications strategies as well as shorter-term management plans. She is in tune with external and internal stakeholders and is proficient at advanced training and sales support for large organizations.
Ms. Haupert came to Ringler from Structured Financial Associates, Inc., where she held a similar role as Director of Marketing and Communications. Prior to that, she worked in Internal Marketing and Communications at Comcast, was a Graphics Designer at Aha Designs, as well as a Sales Consultant at Herff Jones, Inc. Andrea is based out of Denver where she lives with her husband, Eric, and her two daughters. She enjoys the outdoors and camping, often traveling to America’s national parks.
Carol Ferrari-Rogers directs and oversees aspects of operations at Ringler including human resources, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable. She plays an integral role in development of the company’s benefits program, annual budget and annual audit. In addition, Carol manages oversight of cash management and expenses for Associates and ensures fiscal year processing is completed in accordance with the accountant’s recommendations. Prior to joining Ringler in 2001, she was instrumental in developing the Disciplinary Compliance Division at the Prudential Insurance Company’s corporate office, also liaison to field management and executives. She worked for seven years in Prudential’s human resources department, managing recruitment, benefits, training/development and performance monitoring. Carol also authors and presents training seminars, lectures and workshops. Carol has a Bachelor of Science degree from Monmouth University in Business Management. Carol and her husband, Steve, live in Southern California. She enjoys spending time with her family and loves to teach quilting in her spare time.
As Ringler’s Controller, Nicol Vargas manages Ringler’s financial statements, ledgers, cost accounting, payroll, accounts receivable and budgeting, as well as reports on trend analysis. Nicol also assists with dashboard reports and business plans for Ringler Consultants. Nicol joined Ringler as Controller in January 2017 with over 20 years of experience in accounting and the insurance industry. Nicol previously worked at Carl Warren & Company as a Senior Financial Analyst and was promoted to Controller there following the Nova Pro acquisition. She graduated from California State University in Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She also received her MBA degree from Keller Graduate School of Management. Nicol teaches a course at the University of Phoenix, is a member of the Orange County CLM Alliance Group and has been an invited speaker multiple times at the Western States ESOP conference.
Mike Rickerts supports the development of business applications, technical infrastructure, information security, and development of strategic IT plans. He joined Ringler in 2011 and has been working in the Information Technology field for over 25 years. Previously, Mike has held a number of leadership positions working as a software developer, information systems manager, management consultant, and as a business owner. Mike graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and has held positions with Hughes Aircraft, Northrup-Grumman, Ernst & Young, and Deloitte and Touche. Mike and his wife Tammy, have three children where they live in California. Mike enjoys golfing, working out and spending time with the family.
Kathleen Bagley joined Ringler in January 2017 when it acquired Galaher Settlements. She brings more than 15 years of supervisory experience to her position as Service Center Manager at Ringler. Kathleen started her settlement planning career in 1996 shortly after relocating from upstate New York to Phoenix. She holds a life, Health and Accident Insurance license in Arizona. Kathleen has experience handling all lines of business, including medical malpractice, liability, workers’ compensation (qualified and non-qualified), and has worked with approved brokers for state and government clients as well as with some national programs. Kathleen graduated from Mildred Elley Business School in Albany, N.Y., and worked for the state of New York, directly assisting the Commissioner of the Department of Housing and Urban Renewal. Outside of work, Kathleen enjoys spending time with her family and friends and playing the flute.
