Gerardo Monroy brings to Ringler 30 years of well-rounded business experience. With more than 20 years of Financial Services experience, he has worked closely with all sales and distribution channels and has special appreciation and expertise in working collaboratively with both independent distribution channels and large field organizations. Gerardo most recently worked at Aflac as the SVP, Innovation Strategy & Execution and Business Owner of Empowered Benefits (a wholly owned Aflac subsidiary based in Charlotte, NC.) Before Aflac, he worked at CNO Financial in various Executive Leadership roles, his last two being CNO’s Chief Marketing Officer and President of Colonial Penn Life Insurance. Prior to joining the Financial Services Industry, he played leadership roles in the USA, Europe and Latin America at Carrier Corporation/United Technologies and Procter & Gamble. Gerardo has a B.A. in Public Accounting from the Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico) and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
As Chief Information Officer for Ringler, Butch Knowlton is responsible for setting and overseeing the strategy for the IT department and for defining how Ringler manages information across the organization. As a senior strategist and IT architect, he plays a key role in helping Ringler expand its competitive advantage to serve its customers and improve profitability. During his accomplished 20-year career, Butch has navigated that unique space between business and technology – sometimes steering toward business roles, sometimes more focused on IT. As a strong advocate for integrated IT-business partnerships, his achievements are built on the successful delivery of relevant business capabilities. By thoroughly understanding business strategy, Butch pivots technology with business goals and priorities to ultimately deliver on schedule and with strong organizational value. Butch lives in Powell, Ohio with his wife Kim, two sons and two daughters. He is an outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, golf and camping. He spends most of his time with his family supporting and attending all the activities that kids can do.
Joe Loseman is Chief Operating Officer for Ringler,and has direct responsibility for all corporate operations, including finance and accounting, human resources, licensing and information technology. Joe joined Ringler in 2000, and since then, has held management positions in IT, accounting, systems analysis and business analysis. He was named Director of Operations in 2011 and Vice President of Operations in 2012. His experience began as a Financial Advisor and Marketing Specialist with Cal Fed Investments, where he developed and recommended financial planning and investment solutions to Cal Fed’s banking and investment clients. He is a member of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA), and he holds a Life & Disability Insurance License. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Finance from California State University Fullerton, College of Business and Economics in 1997. When he’s not working, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife Shelley and three sons at their home in Southern California.
As Ringler’s Chief Financial Officer, Nicol Vargas manages Ringler’s financial statements, ledgers, cost accounting, payroll, accounts receivable and budgeting, as well as reports on trend analysis. Nicol also assists with dashboard reports and business plans for Ringler Consultants. Since joining Ringler in 2016, Nicol has been promoted from Controller to Vice President of Finance to CFO in recognition of the effectiveness and efficiencies of the company’s financial reporting and leadership. Ms. Vargas was also the recipient of the 2020 Chairman’s Award for her outstanding contributions to the organization. Nicol previously worked at Carl Warren & Company as a Senior Financial Analyst and was promoted to Controller there following the Nova Pro acquisition. She graduated from California State University in Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She also received her MBA degree from Keller Graduate School of Management. Nicol teaches a course at the University of Phoenix, is a member of the Orange County, CA CLM Alliance Group and an invited speaker multiple times at the Western States ESOP conference.
Matt Ross, Senior Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer, is an enthusiastic professional who comes to Ringler after a long career at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. There he began as a sales intern and worked his way through a variety of roles in both distribution and claims. Matt has the unique perspective of distributing structured settlements from his time at Liberty Life as the National Sales Manager, as well as funding structured settlement transactions as the Structured Settlement Program Manager for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Matt brings a wealth of expertise in strategy development, sales skills, training development and execution, program and vendor management, and leadership. Matt spends his free time with his wife and two boys in Wildomar, CA., playing golf and pursuing his passion for aviation as a private pilot.
As Ringler’s Senior Quality Assurance Analyst at Ringler, Neeru Gupta is responsible for confirming development and architectural standards, analyzing statistical quality data and investigating customer complaints and product issues. With a strong background in software testing and a Masters in Business Administration, Neeru proactively participates in design and requirement discussions for new and existing capabilities. Originally from India, Neeru now lives in Columbus, Ohio, with her husband and son. Neeru is also an avid runner and poetess at heart. She loves writing poems in her regional language (Punjabi) and posts her latest poems on her Facebook and Instagram pages.
As Accounting Manager, Leslie Guzowski came to Ringler to assist in the transition to a new accounting system. Since then, her role has migrated to the implementation of new procedures for month-end closeouts, generating financial reports and continuing to grow the accounting department as needed. A graduate in Business Administration from Chapman University, Leslie’s background includes experience as an accountant with specialties in payroll and human resources. She’s adept in managing company-wide accounting and auditing processes. Leslie and her husband enjoy being with family and friends, baking, sports and traveling.
Andrea L. Haupert, National Director of Marketing, joined the Ringler management team in 2016 with over a decade of prior experience developing sales and communications campaigns. Initiatives championed by Andrea have resulted in 15 national awards and over 100 local awards. She is passionate when it comes to developing large-scale communications strategies as well as shorter-term management plans. She is in tune with external and internal stakeholders and is proficient at advanced training and sales support for large organizations. Andrea came to Ringler from Structured Financial Associates, Inc., where she held a similar role as Director of Marketing and Communications. Prior to that, she worked in Internal Marketing and Communications at Comcast, was a Graphics Designer at Aha Designs, as well as a Sales Consultant at Herff Jones, Inc. Andrea is based out of Colorado where she lives with her husband, Eric, and her two daughters. She enjoys the outdoors and camping, often traveling to America’s national parks.
Rebecca Kincer is responsible for the supervision, processing, updating and maintenance of payroll. She also manages the administration, research and reconciliation of benefits as well as processes new hires, transfers and promotions. Rebecca has been married since August 1991 and has two sons. She enjoys cooking, baking and sewing and makes the best tamales. She is a southern California native and a worship team member at her church.
Amy Mailot, Information Technology Portfolio Manager, is a seasoned information technology professional with 30 years of experience in IT as well as healthcare. She started her IT career building physician portals and clinical applications with her medical background and has remained in IT ever since. Amy has spent several years consulting as an IT professional. She has experience in several different industries, such as healthcare, science, technology, architecture and insurance. She previously worked at Verisk Analytics where they developed modeling tools for insurance companies. Before that, Amy worked at CenturyLink and for 16 years at OhioHealth as a Sr. Business Analyst. While at OhioHealth, she won several company awards, including the Ring of Quality, Great Performer and Prism awards. Amy has experience building up practices and services in IoT, Smart Solutions, Data Science and many other areas. Her experience includes robotic process automation development, business analysis, CX, UI, change management and demand/release management. Amy lives in Dublin, Ohio, with her husband and two daughters. She has taken several medical missionary trips with Heart to Honduras, assisting in surgeries in the jungle there and in Guatemala. She planned her own medical missionary trip with the chief of a remote village in Kenya, Africa. Amy also enjoys running, kayaking and hunter jumping.
Andrew Peach, Director of Agency Development comes to Ringler with 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. His strengths include growing successful agency storefronts and developing and supporting agents in sales growth and development. In his role at Ringler, he is responsible for managing corporate strategic partnerships, sales training, and working with Ringler’s offices to grow their businesses through planning and collaboration. Before joining Ringler, Andrew was an Assistant District Manager for Farmers Insurance in San Diego, California, where he led 70 agency owners and $140 million in premiums. Andrew also worked for SHW Insurance Services and Principal Financial Group as a broker who sold multi-line insurance products to existing and new clientele. Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, watching his kids play sports, the outdoors, and is an off-road enthusiast.
Katherine Rogerson, Director of the Ringler Service Center, has spent the last 15 years in the settlement planning industry working in a variety of roles, including dedicated case manager, settlement specialist and manager of the support center. This diversity in positions has allowed her to hire and train case managers, work with IT to design solutions for the brokers and case management staff, and work with the brokers and their clients directly in mediations and handling detailed casework. Katherine is married to her high school crush, Jim, and mom to two growing boys Eli, 14, and Luke, 8, who both love sports. Her family is all born and raised in North Carolina.
As Ringler’s Senior Data Analyst, Kevin Sullivan has come aboard to define strategy, architect and deliver an industry differentiating data capability and business intelligence platform to Ringler. Kevin manages the Ringler Data Office in Aliso Viejo, directly reporting to the Chief Information Officer and supporting the operational and business goals of the Executive Team. Analytics as a service is a passion for Kevin and is at the center of his efforts to drive data culture at Ringler. Kevin has extensive experience in data strategy, architecture, wrangling, governance, administration, design, development and deployment with a patent rewarded for data logic in the cybersecurity space. He is a Russian/International Business alum of The Ohio State University. Kevin and his wife Holly live in Columbus, Ohio and are expecting their first child in the summer of 2021. Kevin enjoys cycling and can play three chords on a six-string.
