Aliso Viejo, California, February 16, 2016 – Ringler Associates Incorporated, the nation’s premier structured settlement company, announces the election of Executive Vice President, James M. Early, CSSC, as the 2017 President of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA), the leading voice of the structured settlement profession and advocate for the rights of injured parties.
Jim Early has been on the NSSTA Board of Directors for three separate terms and a member of the executive team at Ringler for many years. He is in charge of sales operations at the 70 offices nationwide at Ringler. Jim joined Ringler in 2002, and was appointed to Senior VP, Eastern Regional Director in 2009. With more than 35 years of experience in the insurance claim and settlement business, Jim has been involved in thousands of structured settlements since 1985.
Upon his election to NSSTA President Jim Early said, “I’m deeply honored that my peers have chosen me to lead our industry as President of NSSTA. I will be taking office some 30 years after I first started as a structured settlement consultant, fresh from the world of claims. Now, I humbly follow in the footsteps of two great friends, competitors, and predecessors in Michael Goodman and Len Blonder. My vision is to continue to educate the public and expand initiatives to develop new markets with products and services suitable to supplement our role as settlement solution specialists. I will be vigilant in guarding against the threats from those who prey on the people who benefit most from our hard work, making sure that injured parties continue to enjoy the many benefits offered by way of a periodic payment settlement.”
Ringler Chairman of the Board, Ross Duncan, says “Jim’s voice leading NSSTA is an extremely strong choice. He has the depth of decades-long experience in our profession combined with the compassion and advocacy for the people who need a structured settlement.” And Ringler President & CEO, Geoffrey E. Hunt adds that Jim Early will also continue in his role as EVP at Ringler, saying, “We’re especially proud that NSSTA has chosen Jim Early as President. Jim has established himself as a leader in many roles since he joined Ringler. It’s incredibly important to have him as a champion for our profession, devoted to protecting the needs of injured parties involved in structured settlements.”
According to longtime NSSTA Executive Director Eric Vaughn, “Jim Early is universally recognized in the structured settlements industry as a creative and collaborative leader, who has dedicated his entire professional life to making the structured settlements industry a powerful and effective force in the lives of hundreds of thousands of injury victims and their families. One of Jim’s most notable accomplishments has been his successful efforts to build strong and effective relations with organizations like the American Association of People with Disabilities and the National Consumers League—two of the most powerful groups in the country supporting structured settlements.”
Jim Early has also served on the Rhode Island Governor’s Insurance Council and is a member of the Boston Association of Claims Executives and New Hampshire Adjusters Association. Jim is a frequent presenter on ethics in structured settlements for both the insurance and legal fields. Jim Early becomes President-elect of NSSTA in April this year and begins his term as NSSTA President in April 2017.
