A 12-year veteran nonprofit executive, Schnackenberg has spent his career in the nonprofit ‘help’ industry working to professionalize and systematize nonprofit operational standards. Focusing on systems design and efficiency modeling, he has overseen several large-scale change operations ranging from simple to highly complex, regional to national in scope, including merger architecture and post- merger integration.
Schnackenberg is a certified Corporate Social Responsibility practitioner and is passionate about sustainability practices in the nonprofit sector. He has lived and worked in several countries beyond the United States, including dangerous places like Afghanistan and Tajikistan with reporting responsibilities to agencies like the United Nations, USAID, OFDA, and others.
He is the author of several books, both fiction and nonfiction. He is fluent in conversational Japanese, is a speaker, and holds a master’s degree from the University of San Francisco. Schnackenberg brings his sharp business acumen to Secured Futures as the principal overseeing day-to-day operations.
